Sir Digvijaysinhji Ranjitsinhji Jadeja (1895 – 1966)
The Maharaja Jam Saheb of Nawanagar from 1933 to 1947, he succeeded his uncle, the famed cricketer Ranjitsinhji and was the chancellor of the chamber of Princes (1933-44). In this photograph he wears a necklace and collar set with outstanding rectangular Columbian emeralds. It was made by Cartier for his adoptive father.
