S G Vasudev (b. 1941)

Setlur Gopal Vasudev was born in 1941 in Mysore, Karnataka and is an alumnus of Madras Arts College and one of the longtime artists associated with Cholamandal Artists’ Village.
Vasudev’s works are represented in many individual institutions and corporate collections worldwide. He worked in many mediums like bronze and tapestry and did many shows. He has been on the Executive Board of the Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi and has worked as a selection committee member twice for National Exhibition of Art. He received a National Award from the All India Lalit Kala Akademi in 1967. A retrospective of his work was organised by the National Gallery of Modern Art, Bengaluru. He lives and works in Bangalore.
